APA Cargo Services is looking for an experienced Ocean & Rail Freight Manager to lead and expand one of the company's most strategic business divisions.

This role is designed for a professional who wants more than operational management. We are looking for someone who can develop business, build strong international partnerships, optimize profitability and contribute directly to the company's growth strategy.

Your Mission

You will lead the development and management of our Ocean Freight and Rail Freight divisions, with a strong focus on Asia–Romania trade lanes.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Managing Ocean Freight (FCL, LCL and Project Cargo) as well as Rail Freight operations.
2. Building and developing a high-performing operations team.
3. Developing our own LCL Sea & Rail consolidation services from Asia to Romania
4. Expanding strategic partnerships with shipping lines, rail operators, NVOCCs and international agents.
5. Negotiating commercial agreements and procurement contracts.
6. Driving profitability through pricing strategy, procurement and operational excellence.
7. Defining KPIs and continuously improving operational performance.
8. Working closely with Sales, Pricing, Customs and Management to support company growth.
9. Identifying new business opportunities and market developments within Asia–Romania logistics.

What We're Looking For

1. Minimum 7 years of experience in Freight Forwarding.
2. Strong background in Ocean Freight and/or China–Europe Rail Freight.
3. Previous leadership or management experience.
4. Excellent understanding of FCL, LCL and intermodal transport.
5. Experience negotiating directly with shipping lines, rail operators and overseas agents.
6. Strong commercial mindset with a focus on profitability rather than volume.
7. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
8. Fluent English.
